How we do it

Picture of a brain

Based on science

Our approach is grounded in science surrounding a person's need to experience social learning, storytelling & involvement.

The role of positive psychology, play & being empowered is key for effective change.

Tailored to you

The work we do is always context dependent. We get to know you & the challenges you face, from multiple perspectives.

It's only then we can design the best possible solutions to help you make progress.

Designed to upskill

It's not mad, it shouldn't be alien & certainly not secretive!

We want to help you learn the skills to continue the conversation with your teams & organisation, ensuring sustainability.

Using LEGO® bricks

The LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® methodology started back in 1996 when a couple of professors partnered with the LEGO® Group CEO to explore alternative strategic planning tools & systems.

It's grounded in the science of positive psychology & play, proven to unlock the potential of participants.

Thinking with your hands & using the brick as a metaphor for ideas, creates an environment that allows us to go deeper, collaborate more effectively & get to better outcomes quicker.

Using structures

Work is often organised & done in a conventional way, generally including presentations, managed discussions (where someone leads), open discussions (free-for-all), business updates & mind map sessions. These influence how we work & how we connect with each other. Although they have a place, they are often used in the wrong way. At worst, they can cause frustration, lack of results, selfish behaviours, exclusion & stifle creativity or generation of ideas.

Liberating Structures, brought to life by Henri Lipmanowicz & Keith McCandless, offers many new options that can be used in addition to the conventional approaches. The toolkit is so flexible & versatile & can be introduced in a purposeful but spontaneous way.
